VRCare Virtual Learning Environment

The VLE consists of tips on how to introduce VR as a pedagogical tool, how to use it for educational/care purposes, and the benefits of using VR in education. It also highlights potential challenges caregivers and teachers can face when using VR in education and in care. VLE gives teachers and caregivers the background information they need to be encouraged to use the VRCARE Library and support educators and practitioners to overcome barriers that users with little or no experience in using VR might have.

VRCare Library

VRCARE Library contains all the developed real-life scripts and VR scenarios that partners will produce. The aim is to make it easier for future users to find these scripts and scenarios and start to use them. Here users will find user guidelines, tips and suggestions of when and how to use the scripts and scenarios at school or in the care centers. It provides teachers and caregivers with the necessary knowledge and skills to get the confidence needed to use VR for educational and/or “care” purposes and to support them in making education and care more holistic. The goal is to enhance awareness of how VR can support sensory stimulation.

72 Real life scripts

Teachers and caregivers will write real life scripts focusing on ethics and interaction in healthcare settings, on stimulating and activating elderly and children in care centers.

12 VR scenarios

12 real life scripts will be selected and transformed into VR scenarios that anybody with a pair of unprogrammed VR glasses can use when working with elderly or children or when educating in the topics addressed in the scripts. The scenarios will be tested through pilots, implemented into existing courses and shared to others through active dissemination.
