VRCARE at the Axxell Recruitment Fair in Karis, Finland

On 21 January 2026, the VRCARE project participated in the recruitment fair organised by Axxell and the Municipality of Raseborg, hosted at Axxell’s premises in Karis, Finland.

The event offered visitors a hands-on introduction to virtual reality technologies, allowing them to experience VR headsets and immersive environments directly. Interest from students and attendees was strong, confirming the growing relevance of VR in education and skills development.

During the event, Martina Sjöblom, project team member, gathered valuable feedback on how learners can be effectively introduced to VR tools from a pedagogical perspective. Discussions focused on guidance, accessibility, and the role of educators in supporting meaningful learning experiences through immersive technologies.

Participant feedback was highly positive. Many highlighted that immersive learning enhances engagement and supports deeper understanding, making learning both more effective and more motivating.

The recruitment fair served as a practical demonstration of how virtual reality can support modern education and training. For the VRCARE project, the event reinforced the value of VR as a tool that opens new pathways for learning, skill development, and learner engagement.

VRCARE project has received support from the Erasmus+ program.
