On Friday, 6 March 2026, a pilot testing and evaluation activity of Virtual Reality (VR) learning scenarios took place at the 6th Vocational High School of Ioannina, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project VRCARE.
The activity was organised by the Directorate of Secondary Education of Aitoloakarnania as part of the project “VRCARE: Modernizing Healthcare Pedagogy with Virtual Reality for Interaction, Ethics, Stimulation and Sensory” (Project Code: 2024-1-FI01-KA220-VET-000249151), co-funded by the European Union.
Six teachers from the school participated in the activity, aiming to test the VR scenarios and provide structured feedback on their functionality and educational value.
Participants used VR equipment to explore interactive learning environments and engage with realistic scenarios. Through the evaluation process, they shared observations and suggestions for improvement.
According to their feedback, Virtual Reality can support experiential learning and help teachers approach complex topics through realistic simulations. The pilot provided valuable insights for refining the scenarios and further developing the VRCARE educational tools.
The Directorate of Secondary Education of Aitoloakarnania warmly thanks the Director of the 6th Vocational High School of Ioannina, Ms. Olga Tassi, as well as the participating teachers, for their contribution to the successful implementation of this activity.
