What better way to explore the real impact of innovation in education than putting it directly into the hands of those who shape learning every day? On Wednesday, March 25th, our project partner AXXELL organized a vital piloting session to test the first six VRCARE scenarios.
The event brought together dedicated teachers from three Finland-Swedish Vocational Education & Training (VET) providers in the social & healthcare sector. The focus was on ethical dilemmas that students will often face as they begin their first work placements.
The response from the educators was inspiringly positive. The teachers highlighted the powerful role that immersive tools like VR will play in the classroom:
- Making the Abstract Tangible: VR will help young learners with limited life experience understand complex and sensitive topics.
- New Pedagogical Methods: By introducing these new methodologies, we will bridge the gap between textbook theory & real-world challenges.
- Better Preparation: Students will feel more confident & prepared for the sensitive interactions they will encounter in their professional lives.
The focus, the discussions, & the feedback from this session were incredibly valuable. Meaningful innovation in education is not just theoretical; it will be tested, experienced, & refined in real settings to ensure it meets the needs of both teachers & students.
A big thank you to all the teachers who participated. Your engagement is shaping the future of learning!
