Today was an amazing day! Three teachers and the project leader from Axxell visited Prakticum, a VET provider in Helsinki to promote VRCare and to learn how Prakticum uses virtual reality and stimulation training for educational purposes within childcare.
We had some inspiring and constructive conversations about immersive learning and the importance of ethics, interaction, and stimulation training and how virtual reality can be used to deepen the understanding of the abstract concepts within these topics.
But that’s not all! This visit also marked the beginning of future collaboration, as the college kindly promised to support us in the piloting and promotion of VRCare. This is a huge step forward as it will help us develop meaningful and impactful learning experiences that benefit students, teachers, and caregivers.
VRCare wants to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to our fantastic hosts at Prakticum for their warm welcome and shared vision. Together, we’re paving the way for better learning experiences and holistic, client-centred care. We’re so excited for what’s to come and look forward to more visits and collaborations with other VET providers, nursing homes, kindergartens, and beyond!
